About Me

Stacey Ann Beitler
I am a recently published author and am excited to share my work with students, teachers and parents. I taught first grade for eight years before beginning my own family. As a primary teacher, I spent a lot of time focusing on character education. I feel that teaching character education should start at a young age to foster social and emotional development. Teaching abstract concepts such as empathy, acceptance, respect etc., to young children is not easy and I feel that children are best able to make connections through literature. During my time in the classroom, I noticed the need for more children’s literature to teach some of the more abstract concepts included in our character education curriculum. This was, in part, my inspiration behind writing my first book, Willy Goes to the Farm.
